Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes: Assisting with Organization and Enterprise natural disaster and emergency response planning and response; planning and conducting emergency preparedness education, training, exercises, and drills; ensuring compliance in accordance with applicable laws and regulations; coordinating various emergency response programs with federal, state, local, and organizational entities; providing current policy and procedural guidance to representative staff areas of responsibility. In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. About the Position: Serves as the Emergency Management Specialist for U. S. Army Engineering & Support Center, Huntsville with responsibility for planning, coordinating, and managing the Centers program involving preparation prior to, operations during, and recovery operations following a natural disaster or emergency.
