Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing guidance and technical assistance concerning transportation policy, projection of future needs on long and short term basis, transportation equipment requirements, security requirements, and availability of transportation services; providing leadership resolving transportation setbacks according to the guidelines, policies and procedures of transportation management; understanding and utilizing the Defense Transportation System (DTS) as a whole. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
