Salary: $70,000–$155,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
About the Role
This opportunity is for a Cloud Engineer responsible for implementing, automating, and continuously improving cloud infrastructure and services across multiple customer projects. The role partners closely with Product Management and Engineering teams to define technical requirements, build scalable cloud solutions, automate deployments, and support the ongoing evolution of secure, reliable, and highly available cloud environments.
What You'll Do
- Implement and maintain cloud infrastructure and cloud services across AWS, Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform based on customer requirements.
- Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering teams to define technical requirements and contribute to high-level cloud solution designs.
- Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions to automate cloud provisioning and application deployments.
- Develop scripts, automation tools, and operational utilities that streamline DevOps and cloud management workflows.
- Monitor cloud environments for availability, system performance, operational health, and cloud cost efficiency while troubleshooting issues as they occur.
- Support the ongoing design and enhancement of cloud architecture to improve scalability, reliability, availability, and security.
- Work closely with technical teams to support demand planning and development resource allocation.
- Create and maintain documentation for cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines, architecture decisions, and operational procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of professional experience.
- At least one year of IT technical experience with exposure to cloud infrastructure, cloud automation, or related technologies.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Public Trust or Security Clearance.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
- Experience using CI/CD platforms including GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar solutions.
- Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for cloud automation.
- Knowledge of cloud cost optimization and FinOps best practices.
- Professional cloud certifications are preferred, including AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator or Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Professional Cloud Architect.
