Warehouse Associate

Role overview

You’ll support warehouse operations by receiving, organizing, picking, staging, assembling, packaging, shipping, tracking, and reconciling program materials and inventory.

What you’ll do

  • Receive, inspect, organize, store, and record energy-efficiency materials, demand response devices, tools, and other program materials.
  • Pick, stage, and issue materials and equipment for field technicians based on scheduled work orders and planned field activity.
  • Track serial-numbered devices and controlled inventory from receipt through issuance, return, and reconciliation.
  • Conduct routine cycle counts and inventory reconciliations.
  • Investigate or escalate inventory discrepancies.
  • Process returned, defective, unused, or replaced equipment according to program procedures.
  • Organize and consolidate like products using pallet jacks or hand carts.
  • Stack packages onto pallets and wrap or label them for shipping.
  • Load pallets into storage using a pallet jack.
  • Break down cardboard and organize or palletize it for bi-weekly tractor trailer pickups.
  • Clean and maintain warehouse areas daily.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • 6 months of warehouse, fulfillment, shipping and receiving, inventory, production, or related experience preferred.
  • Equivalent transferable experience will be considered.
  • Ability to safely operate, or willingness to be trained to operate, pallet jacks and other material-handling equipment.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn inventory and order-tracking systems.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Ability to follow workplace safety procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, organization, and teamwork.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Employment is contingent on successful background check and reference check.
  • Pre-employment drug screen may be required if applicable to the position.

Physical requirements

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to regularly bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, reach, and climb.
