About the Role
The Payroll Support Specialist provides hands-on payroll processing and client support for a dedicated portfolio of customers. The role focuses on running payroll accurately, troubleshooting payroll issues, supporting payroll processing procedures, managing client payroll submissions, and serving as a primary resource for employer and employee payroll questions.
This position requires practical experience with SaaS payroll software such as ADP, Paycor, Paylocity, or similar platforms. The role supports multiple client payroll cycles simultaneously and is particularly relevant to candidates with experience in construction, certified payroll, prevailing wage requirements, PEO, or ASO environments.
What You'll Do
- Manage a dedicated client portfolio and support accurate, timely payroll processing across multiple payroll cycles.
- Engage with clients by phone and web to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve payroll-related challenges.
- Provide technical support and guidance related to payroll processing procedures.
- Manage the integration of client payroll submissions into the payroll software platform.
- Serve as the first point of contact for employer and employee questions related to payroll.
Qualifications
Required Experience
- 3+ years of experience in payroll processing or payroll support.
Required Skills
- Hands-on experience using SaaS payroll software such as ADP, Paycor, Paylocity, or a similar platform.
- Ability to troubleshoot payroll challenges and provide technical support related to payroll processing procedures.
- Ability to manage multiple client payroll cycles at the same time while maintaining accuracy and responsiveness.
- Strong customer service skills with a genuine interest in helping employers and employees resolve payroll questions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the construction industry.
- Exposure to certified payroll or prevailing wage work.
- PEO or ASO experience.
Work Authorization
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and able to provide documentation verifying identity and U.S. work authorization.
