About the Role
The Senior Director of HR will build and scale the People function during a critical stage of growth. This role aligns People initiatives with organizational goals, strengthens company culture, supports high employee engagement, and creates the systems, programs, and leadership capabilities needed for a high-performing, fully remote organization.
This position operates at both the strategic and hands-on levels. The role partners with senior leadership on hiring, onboarding, leadership development, organizational design, succession planning, performance management, compensation, benefits, HCM administration, employee relations, leaves, compliance, and People analytics.
What You'll Do
Hiring and Onboarding- Partner with leadership to scale high-quality hiring while maintaining a strong talent bar.
- Manage and develop the internal Talent team to build a strong, efficient hiring engine.
- Deliver a consistent, high-quality candidate experience that reflects the organization’s brand and core values.
- Develop a best-in-class onboarding program that accelerates time-to-impact and early employee engagement.
- Coach and develop managers across the company on leadership best practices that improve effectiveness, accountability, and team performance.
- Build scalable leadership development programs that support current leaders.
- Identify and develop high-potential talent for future internal promotions.
- Partner with the Chief Executive Officer and leadership team on organizational design and succession planning.
- Strengthen and scale a fast-paced, high-ownership, highly collaborative culture.
- Maintain high levels of employee engagement as the company grows.
- Build feedback loops and programs that reinforce alignment, performance, and team health in a fully remote environment.
- Build and evolve performance management programs that drive clarity, accountability, and growth.
- Support managers with goal setting, feedback, and performance conversations.
- Use performance and feedback data to inform development plans and organizational decisions.
- Own and manage compensation and benefits programs while supporting employee well-being, market competitiveness, and compliance.
- Develop and deliver regular reporting on key People metrics, including headcount, turnover, hiring, and KPIs that connect performance with business outcomes.
- Manage the company’s HCM platform, Rippling.
- Manage employee leaves and employee relations.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and HR best practices.
Qualifications
Required Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in People or HR leadership roles.
- Experience working in high-growth environments.
- Experience in startup and venture-backed technology companies.
- Experience incorporating AI to improve operational efficiency.
- Proven experience developing high-performing teams across a business and within the People function.
- Proven ability to influence and drive decisions at the senior leadership level.

- Strategic thinking, strong business acumen, and the ability to translate vision into action.

- Cybersecurity experience is a plus.
