About the Role

This opportunity is for a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer to design, build, and scale core financial and loyalty systems supporting high-volume transactions, payments, rewards, account services, and partner integrations. The role has a strong backend focus, with ownership of reliable, high-performance services and APIs while also contributing to end-to-end full-stack features.

The position centers on Python backend development, ideally with Django, along with PostgreSQL, AWS, distributed systems, and high-availability production environments. Working knowledge of TypeScript and React is also important for collaborating with frontend and mobile engineers and contributing across the stack when needed.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs that support high-volume financial transactions and rewards workflows.
• Own feature delivery across core systems including payments, rewards, account services, and partner integrations.
• Contribute to system architecture and technical design as the platform evolves and scales.
• Collaborate with frontend and mobile engineers to support end-to-end feature development when full-stack work is required.
• Improve backend reliability, performance, and observability through testing, monitoring, and strong code quality practices.
• Participate in sprint planning, technical reviews, and production support for mission-critical services.
• Contribute across the codebase when needed while maintaining strong ownership of backend projects from initial concept through production.

Qualifications

Required Experience

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong backend focus.
• Production experience building backend systems in Python, ideally using Django.
• Experience designing APIs, data models, and services using PostgreSQL and AWS.
• Experience working with distributed systems and high-availability production environments.
• Demonstrated ability to take backend projects from concept through production.

Required Skills

• Strong backend engineering skills with the ability to design scalable, reliable, and high-performance services and APIs.
• Working knowledge of TypeScript and React with the ability to contribute to frontend development when needed.
• Ability to collaborate with frontend and mobile engineers on end-to-end feature development.
• Ability to contribute to system architecture and technical design for evolving production platforms.
• Strong understanding of testing, monitoring, observability, reliability, performance, and code quality practices for production systems.
• Ability to work effectively across payments, rewards, account services, and partner integration workflows.
• Strong ownership mindset with the ability to independently move technical work from concept through production.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
