About the Role
This Senior Digital Analyst opportunity combines advanced digital analysis with analytics architecture, measurement implementation, and data-driven decision support. The position focuses on transforming large volumes of digital data into actionable insights that improve customer experiences, marketing effectiveness, merchandising decisions, and content strategy. Responsibilities include conducting rigorous analyses, developing dashboards, improving analytics instrumentation, and implementing new digital measurement capabilities.
The role uses a modern analytics stack that includes Google Analytics 360, BigQuery, dbt, Hex, and Fivetran, with SQL and Python serving as primary analytical tools. The successful candidate will collaborate with Digital, Marketing, and Merchandising stakeholders, translate complex findings into practical recommendations, and contribute to the effective use of a data environment containing more than 2 billion rows. The position reports to the Head of Data.
What You'll Do
- Conduct accurate, rigorous analyses of digital data using SQL and Python to identify meaningful patterns, evaluate performance, and support business decisions.
- Translate analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations and communicate results effectively through written reports, presentations, and discussions.
- Partner with Digital, Marketing, Merchandising, and other stakeholders to identify high-value analytical opportunities, define project priorities, and recommend effective analytical approaches.
- Develop dashboards, analytical workflows, and data tools using Hex to support reporting, exploration, and decision-making.
- Review analytical deliverables produced by peers to help maintain accuracy, clarity, and analytical quality.
- Help stakeholders understand available data, analytical methods, and findings through hands-on instruction and comprehensive documentation.
- Audit existing analytics instrumentation, investigate measurement accuracy, and implement improvements that strengthen the reliability of digital data.
- Implement new digital data collection and tracking capabilities using Google Tag Manager in collaboration with measurement partners.
- Ensure digital data collection honors customer consent signals and complies with applicable regional data-protection regulations.
- Apply digital analytics and measurement expertise to support customer experience, marketing, merchandising, and content-related strategic decisions.
- Contribute to the effective use of the analytics technology stack and large-scale datasets by connecting reliable measurement with actionable analysis.
Qualifications
Required Experience
- At least 3 years of professional experience in a data-centric role involving analytical work and data-driven decision support.
- Demonstrated experience using data analysis to influence stakeholder decisions and produce measurable organizational impact.
- Experience working independently, identifying analytical opportunities, and proposing projects without relying exclusively on stakeholder requests.
Required Skills
- Fluent SQL skills, including the ability to write queries for complex digital data analysis.
- Proficiency in Python for analytical work and data investigation.
- Deep practical knowledge of Google Analytics, including experience analyzing Google Analytics data using BigQuery.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Google Tag Manager and digital tracking implementation.
- Strong understanding of digital measurement fundamentals, including browser developer tools, the Document Object Model (DOM), CSS selectors, and JavaScript.
- Ability to conduct rigorous analyses, interpret results accurately, and convert findings into practical business recommendations.
- Strong data presentation and visualization capabilities, with an emphasis on communicating insights clearly and effectively.
- Ability to explain complex analytical findings to stakeholders through clear written communication, verbal presentations, and documentation.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and the judgment to work effectively with ambiguity while seeking clarification when necessary.
- Ability to develop informed recommendations while remaining open to new evidence, alternative interpretations, and changing conclusions.
- Commitment to continuous learning and awareness of emerging tools, methods, and practices within the data and analytics field.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using dbt and Git. Candidates without prior experience in these tools may receive training.
- Experience implementing server-side tracking solutions.
- Familiarity with digital advertising platforms, particularly Google Ads and Meta.
- Experience analyzing data in a retail environment, preferably within a direct-to-consumer business.
- Experience designing, implementing, and interpreting experiments, including A/B tests using split-testing tools.
