Position Overview
The People & Culture Administrator supports the full employee lifecycle by providing administrative, recruiting, onboarding, HRIS, employee engagement, compliance, reporting, and general People & Culture support.
This position helps ensure that People & Culture processes are completed accurately, efficiently, and confidentially while providing a positive experience for candidates, employees, and organizational leaders.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, service-focused, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced remote environment.
What You’ll Do
Recruiting Support
- Conduct employment reference checks.
- Coordinate candidate background checks.
- Prepare offer letters and other employment documentation.
- Maintain recruiting reports and hiring metrics.
- Support recruiting events and employer branding initiatives.
Onboarding and Offboarding
- Prepare new-hire documentation and ensure required compliance steps are completed.
- Schedule employee orientation sessions and new-hire introductions.
- Coordinate equipment requests and system access with the IT team.
- Manage employee offboarding processes, including exit documentation and company asset recovery.
HRIS and Employee Records
- Maintain accurate employee records within the Human Resources Information System.
- Process employee status changes, including promotions, transfers, compensation updates, and terminations.
- Maintain confidential personnel files.
- Prepare employment verification letters and other HR-related documents.
- Maintain accurate documentation and departmental records.
Benefits, Payroll, and Compliance Support
- Assist with benefits administration and respond to employee inquiries.
- Support payroll processes by ensuring employee information is accurate and submitted on time.
- Monitor completion of required employee training and policy acknowledgments.
- Help ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and internal employment requirements.
- Assist with HR audits and reporting activities.
- Update HR policies, procedures, forms, and templates as directed.
Employee Engagement and Communications
- Assist with employee recognition programs.
- Coordinate company meetings, celebrations, and employee engagement activities.
- Support internal communications and company announcements.
- Help administer employee surveys and compile employee feedback.
- Promote organizational culture and core values through professional daily interactions.
Reporting and Administrative Support
- Prepare recurring HR metrics and reports.
- Assist organizational leaders with special projects.
- Create presentations, spreadsheets, reports, and other documentation.
- Manage departmental calendars and scheduling.
- Provide general administrative support to the People & Culture team.
Qualifications
- At least two years of experience in Human Resources, recruiting, People Operations, or an administrative role.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer service and employee support skills.
- Experience using Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
- Comfort learning and working with new technology platforms.
- Ability to work independently and remain productive in a remote environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience using an HRIS platform such as BambooHR, Paylocity, UKG, ADP, Rippling, or a similar system.
- Experience using an Applicant Tracking System.
- Knowledge of employment laws and Human Resources best practices.
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification is preferred but not required.
