Warehouse Associate

Schedule: 1st shift, Tuesday-Friday, 7:00 AM start time

About the job

You’ll support warehouse operations in a distribution center by receiving, stowing, picking, packing, shipping, managing inventory, and operating warehouse equipment in dry, cooler, and freezer environments.

Warehouse duties

• Receive and prepare shipments accurately and efficiently.
• Stow, pick, pack, and ship products.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, stock pickers, and related equipment.
• Manage inventory and help maintain accurate product flow.
• Use warehouse systems to support performance tracking when needed.
• Follow safe warehouse working practices.
• Work independently while supporting team goals.
• Communicate clearly with internal customers and management.
• Support safety, quality, accuracy, and teamwork throughout the shift.

Schedule and differentials

• 1st shift schedule, Tuesday-Friday.
• Start time is 7:00 AM.
• Sunday work has a $2/hour differential.
• Work after 7:00 PM has a $1/hour differential.
• Freezer work has a $3/hour differential.
• Availability to work weekends, holidays, day shifts, and overnight schedules required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of food distribution or warehouse experience preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience operating powered warehouse equipment preferred.
• Experience with warehouse management systems and other performance tracking systems preferred.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to follow warehouse safety practices.
• Ability to work efficiently and independently while supporting team success.

Physical requirements

• Ability to lift, move, and carry 30 to 40 pounds repetitively, up to 1,000 times per day.
• Ability to lift, move, and carry larger items up to 75 pounds less frequently.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb, and sit at times in the warehouse.
• Ability to work in warehouse temperatures that vary from very cool to very warm.
• Ability to work in freezer temperatures around -10 degrees.
• Ability to work in refrigerator temperatures around 25 to 35 degrees.
• Exposure to outside weather conditions may occur.
